Today’s busy mom oftentimes feels discouraged.

How about you? I think every mom goes through seasons of wondering “does anyone really appreciate what I do around here?”  I created this podcast episode to encourage you to keep on keeping on! In a nutshell, this is what I shared in episode 062:

  • My sponsor this week is Web Success Coaching-Helping Mompreneurs and remote working moms to turn your online business vision into a blog you love.
  • Check out this week’s Mother’s Day Special at The Old SchoolHouse through May 16th.  TOS is partnering with several companies and giving away several resources, especially for Mother’s Day. These include ebooks, a poster, and other items. Freebie ebooks and resource downloads are available for moms.

An Encouraging Word for Today’s Busy Mom

Remember, that as a mom, you are needed.

Despite how you may feel, everyone in the family needs you.  It’s not just about getting the meal-planning done,  tracking half a pair of socks, or whisking the kids around town to their daily activities- we know that motherhood entails much more than that.  You’re there for your family in so many ways- spiritually and emotionally, and without you it wouldn’t be the same.  So any time you’re tempted to feel otherwise, remind yourself that you are needed.

Remember,you are appreciated.

Despite the lack of an occasional pat on the back from our kids we can rest assure that they really do appreciate us .  They don’t always show it, but they really do love and appreciate us. Being a mom is hard work, but the key is, we’ve chosen this lifestyle- to be available at home for our families- and whether we receive those accolades or not we should at least keep in mind that God appreciates us.  It’s not something we often think and sometimes we might even have a hard time believing it, but the Lord God of the Universe has an enormous amount of appreciation for a mom at home with her kids.  He really does.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love.  Psalm 33:18.

Encouraging Mother's Day

Remember, you are loved.

Psalm 136 reiterates that Christ’s love endures forever.  Although God’s love is for everyone in general, I want you to put yourself in that personal space and realize His personal, direct love line that flows directly to you.  YOU, Dear Mom, are loved by the God of the universe. I hope you’ll take some time to listen in on this podcast and that it will be an encouragement to you.  May God bless you in your homemaking and homeschooling endeavors!
