This year my younger daughter is involved in the Classical Conversations Foundations level, as well as Essentials.

In case you aren’t familiar with Classical Conversations, it is an international homeschool program started by Lee Binz that is built on the Christian classical model of instruction. It is a rigorous and challenging program that emphasizes memory and repetition.

I’ll have to admit, though, that it honestly took me a while to get on board with the classical method, and I really didn’t understand the tenants of classical education fully until recently. Here’s a video explaining that.

Now? I am a fully on-board mama! I truly love this method of learning and teaching and it fits both my girls very well. Here’s my last post about how my oldest daughter- a high school junior- is doing in the program this year.
