I was surfing around the web for information on which homeschool state regulations and I ran across this map:

NOTE (This map is from 2008.  North Dakota is NO LONGER in the red, and there may be change with other states as well.  Please check HSLDA for updated information.)

Interesting to see the levels of requirements, isn’t it?  The two states I’ve lived in recently (both Alabama and California) have relatively low levels of state requirement.  And as I’ve been often told (and now see for myself), Texas has no requirements.  The truth about homeschooling in the northeast shows vividly on this map- more requirements, parent notification, and professional evaluation.
