Happy New Year, friends! I hope your 2025 is off to a fantastic start. I’m thrilled to kick off another year of homeschooling encouragement and support. If you’ve been a longtime listener of my homeschool podcast, you know this show has been a cornerstone for Christian homeschooling moms for over a decade. But this year, we’re making an exciting shift to serve an even broader community of parents dedicated to fostering their children’s success—whether through homeschooling, traditional schooling, or a hybrid approach.

As my personal homeschooling journey evolves—one daughter graduated from college, and my youngest is now in high school—I’ve stepped into a new season of education: after-school tutoring. I currently work in an after-school program and for a school district, gaining fresh insights into education beyond homeschooling. With this perspective, I see the unique challenges and needs in our school systems. While homeschooling remains a wonderful option for many families, education is not one-size-fits-all, and every child deserves support tailored to their learning style.
That’s why my homeschool podcast is expanding its focus. Whether your child is homeschooled, in private or public school, or navigating a hybrid education, my goal is to provide encouragement, actionable strategies, and a balanced perspective to help parents make informed decisions about their child’s education.
What This Podcast Is (and Isn’t)
As we embark on this new chapter, I want to clarify what this homeschool podcast stands for:
- What This Show Is NOT:
- Legalistic: I’m not here to promote a one-size-fits-all educational philosophy.
- Political: This podcast isn’t about debating policies but rather equipping parents with knowledge and resources.
- Dogmatically Religious: While I am a person of faith, I respect that families have different paths when it comes to education.
- What This Show IS:
- A Place of Freedom: Whether you homeschool or not, I respect your decision. If you’re here, you’re interested in homeschooling or alternative education, and I’m honored to be part of your journey.
- A Space for Real Conversations: I’ll share my experiences from nearly two decades of homeschooling and my work in the education system. Take what resonates with you!
- A Balanced Perspective: I love homeschooling and recognize its benefits, but I also know it’s not the only way to raise well-rounded, successful kids. My mission is to provide insight and encouragement regardless of your educational path.
